Central Youth
Central Youth is a programme that helps our young people to learn about God. We study His Word, the Bible, and explore how the message of Jesus relates to each of us. We aim to support each other, build one another up and look out for each other. We're really excited about the good news of Jesus, and want our friends to share in this. We're welcoming and accepting to all young people who visit or join us. We want to be a church for young people who don't go to church.
Youth Central
Youth Central is our regular Sunday meeting, in which we study the Bible, discuss how it applies to our lives, pray and enjoy games and activities together. We meet at the same time and venue as the adults. We encourage each other to bring friends along, and aim to give newcomers a warm welcome. We normally follow the Bible teaching programme which the rest of Christ Church Central are studying, but from a youth-friendly angle.
Events
We also arrange regular events to have fun together and to get to know each other better. Like Youth Central, these events are a great opportunity for friends to join us, and sometimes include a brief 'thought for the day' on a particular aspect of the Christian message. Recent events have included a 'Wild Evening' (complete with boa constrictor!) and 'Life-size Cluedo'.
Weekend Away
Our weekend away is a fantastic time to gel together as a group and learn more about God, through studying the Bible. Again, we welcome our friends to this.
Discipleship Groups
Discipleship groups are smaller, single sex groups which meet fortnightly during the week, to get to know each other better, as well as growing closer to God.
Leadership
Our experienced youth leaders are CRB checked and have received relevant child protection training.
