Students

Whether you're new to Sheffield or already studying here, it would be great to welcome you personally to Christ Church Central. We want all people in Sheffield to come to know, love and live for the Lord Jesus as we study the Bible together. Our relatively small size enables us to build close friendships both within the student group and the wider family at Central.

Our students are a vital part of our wider church family and are involved in all aspects of the church's ministries. Whether it's leading in Club Central (our children's work), sound, visual projection, leading meetings or helping serve refreshments and welcome at the church, there are areas for everyone to be involved in the ongoing life of our church family.

What we do

CentralStudents meetings take place on Sunday evenings after the church meeting. We meet to enjoy a meal together, study and discuss the Bible talk from the church meeting and how it affects our lives at university and beyond.

Student121 is an opportunity for all students to meet up with an older Christian to study the Bible together one-to-one, enjoying close friendship and accountability.

Studentextra is a new, Saturday morning course for second year students to meet over breakfast to study the Bible together. This term we're focusing on some of the crucial truths of Christianity, including topics like the Bible, sin, the resurrection and the Holy Spirit.

Invite-a-Student is an informal arrangement within the church whereby students enjoy hospitality and hearty home cooked meals at least once a term as they are invited to the into the homes of church members.
