As a student, the move away from home to a new place can be a daunting one! We hope that at Christ Church Central, we can provide you with a home away from home as we welcome you into our church family.
Whether you are new to Sheffield or have been here for a while we’d love to welcome you to our Sunday meetings. Our aim as a church is to see Sheffield become a city where Jesus’ name is proclaimed loudly and proudly by all! And we see our work with students being part of that.
We want to see students grow in their love for the Lord Jesus, their Godly lifestyle and their service of Him.
So how do we do that?
- Our church’s two services, Central @4, Central @ 6. The majority of students come to Central @ 6, but not all ... why not try both one week!!
- Student Central
This is our main student meeting. We meet on a Sunday morning at 11am at Egerton Hall, our church building. The meeting is split into 3 main sessions:
- A taught session, looking at what the bible has to say on a variety of issues. For what we are studying this year, see the student calendar.
- Lunch! We are blessed as a church to have many fabulous chefs who are prepared to create culinary delights for us each week. But this slot is more than just eating; we have invited members of the church family to come and join us and gives you a chance to ask them some questions and just chat.
- A taught session, looking at what the bible has to say on a variety of issues. For what we are studying this year, see the student calendar.
- All the students are invited to attend our Gamma Team (small group) mid week, to get to know more of the church family and to help grow as Christians.
- Book of the term! Each term you will be given the opportunity to buy (at very reasonable prices) and read a Christian book. With 2 weeks given over to discussion over the term. See the list of the books that are in the mix.
- Every year, we head away together for a weekend of teaching from a guest speaker, games, time to pray and eat!!
