Church on a Bus

Church on a Bus is for those who find our Sunday meeting difficult to access. The small bus, in which we meet, is parked near Devonshire Green. On the bus we provide coffee, cake and friendship. We aim to be an outward looking, welcoming, Christian community where the men and women that come along can feel safe, valued and belong. Our primary concern is to introduce people to Jesus Christ as he's revealed in the Bible: discovering who he is, why he came, and what he has done for you and me. Our hope and prayer for our friends is that they would come to understand and trust the Gospel, finding forgiveness in the cross of Jesus Christ; growing in a right, healthy and living relationship with their Creator; that they would become members of Christ's Church; and have their lives re-created through the work of the Holy Spirit.

We meet on Wednesday evening from 7.30pm at Egerton Hall to prepare the coffee and cake, and to pray. We aim to be parked up and ready to serve by 8pm. The focus of the evening is food, friendship and low key one to one conversational evangelism with whoever turns up. We try to finish the evening looking at the Bible with time to pray with and for those who have joined us over the course of the evening. We aim to finish by 9.30pm, then its back to Egerton Hall for a review, prayer and a bit of washing up!
